Jeff has 30+ years experience as a public school educator, including 13 years teaching science at Vacaville High School and 7 years as the principal of Buckingham Charter High School. His educational training includes a BS in mechanical engineering from UC Davis, an MBA in management from Golden Gate University, a teaching credential from Cal State East Bay, and an administrative services credential from Brandman University.

Jeff is married to Joanne, who has diligently orchestrated the home-schooling of their five children with brief ventures into public and private schools.

Jeff came to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in 1976 during his freshman year at UC Davis.

Jason retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2017 as a Lieutenant Colonel after a 30-year career as a pilot flying the C-5, C-17 , C-12 & SH-2 helicopter. Late in his career, Jason served as a military advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Jason, his wife Dana, and their three children were missionaries to Chile for 7 years. They established the Escuela de Misiones-Fronteriza (School of Frontier Missions), which recruits, trains, and sends Latino missionaries to unreached people groups. During their time in Chile, their youngest child, Rhyan, was educated in a classical Christian school. They saw firsthand the extremely dramatic difference in the education and development of the mind & soul that Rhyan experienced in contrast to the traditional Christian education their two older children received. This stark difference made them determined to make this education tuition free and available to every Christian family.

Jason has a BS in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University and a MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Jason and Dana have been married for 31 years, have three children and three grandchildren, and are members of Rolling Hills Community Church, Vacaville.

Gary Xavier is a former Marine Corps Scout Sniper, 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and an Ironman® Athlete. He formally worked as the COO of Journey Coffee Company and earned his MBA from California State University, Sacramento. As an entrepreneur, Gary traveled the country on behalf of the non-profit Think Kindness, speaking at public schools for the purpose of issuing a 15-day kindness challenge. This challenge was given to over 70,000 students annually.

As a result of God drawing Gary into His word, the Lord gave him a desire to raise his children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Gary was first introduced to Classical Christian Education in October of 2021, and nothing has been the same since.

Gary is married to Eryn, a family practice physician, and they have three children, two of whom currently attend Centurion.

Mr. Gary Xavier, a father of three, is a founding board member of Centurion. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and his Master’s in Business Administration from CSU Sacramento. Mr. Xavier served our nation as a United States Marine Scout Sniper during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has a 3rd degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. He has been training children in martial arts since he was 11 years old. He started the first PGA Junior Golf Tour for the Northern California PGA where families were the priority of the tour. He has a passion for the Lord, reformed theology, church history, and apologetics, and he loves his wife Eryn, and his children, Elsie, Sammy, and Oliver very much. Two of them attend Centurion now, and Oliver will join next year.

Mr. Greenwood is a recent graduate from The Master University in Santa Clarity, CA where he graduated with a degree in Classical Liberal Arts. Mr. Greenwood studied under world-renowned classicist Dr. Grant Horner. His zeal for the Lord and teaching is apparent within 2 minutes of meeting him. He is tasked with making our discipuli lovers of reading and lovers of writing this year. We are blessed to have him.

Mrs. Hayes is a wonderful mother of two and a devoted wife to her husband John. Mrs. Hayes comes to us with a remarkable amount of creativity. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Napa Valley College and moved in communication with First 5 Solano and then began her own photography business, Forsythe Photography. All the professional photos of our studetns are done by her. Mrs. Hayes is brilliant in the classroom managing ages 4-6. We are so blessed by her conviction and her passion for Centurion.

Mrs. Korsmo graduated Suma Cume Laude from The Master's University in Santa Clarita, CA with a bachelor's degree in Biblical Counseling. She has a strong athletic background as a college athlete and a personal certified trainer. She is a wonderful mother of four who all attend Centurion! They moved to Vacaville from Napa just to come to this school and now she is an unbelievable teacher with our TK/Kinder class. What a blessing she has been.

Katharine Matlock is a wife and the mother of two young men, and she is a graduate of The Master’s University. She is deeply involved in women’s ministry in her church and in spearheading the popular Young Families of Faith ministry with her husband. Katharine was formerly the director of Iron Home School Academy. She has a heart for hospitality and is passionate about the Lord, education, and baking.

As a career police officer and Chief of Police for Fairfield, Vallejo, and Vacaville, Joe Allio brings a depth of wisdom in public safety and politics that is vital to the growth of Centurion. He is also an Elder at Faith Community Church.

His incredible wife, Kathy, raised their six children as a disciplined home-school mother. By God’s providence, she and Joe endured the loss of their two beautiful daughters to Batten Disease. They continue to attribute all their strength and joy amid unthinkable pain to the everlasting love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Kevin brings to Centurion his extensive career as an education leader in the public school system. He also works with the classical Christian education charity, The Rafiki Foundation, which operates classical Christian schools in Africa. Katharine Matlock has a background in education as a public school teacher and as the director of Iron Homeschool Academy. She serves alongside her husband, Jared, in various ministries at Faith Community Church, which they have attended for 15 years. They have two sons, one in high school and one in middle school, who have been homeschooled for the past ten years. Katharine has a heart for education and raising up students in the love and knowledge of our great God and His Word. She is using her experience and passion to serve Centurion in the areas of marketing and fundraising.

B.A., Biblical Counseling, The Master’s University, Expected graduation date: December 2025. With this in view, I long to serve Christ and His bride through the local church. I became an Advisory Board Member at Centurion Christian Classical School in June 2022.

My passion is and always will be people in my sphere of influence. God has created all things (Jn. 1:3) and humanity in His image, known as the “Imago Dei” (Gen. 1:26-27). With this reality apprehended, a new purpose has graciously come into my life to proclaim the Christ, who is the Truth (Lk. 4:18, Jn. 14:6).

For the past 20 years, I have served, mentored, led, and trained Marines, always with the human heart at the crux. Professionalism along with a particularly strong work ethic has always been my joy as a United States Marine serving this great country that provided opportunities for all to excel. With this chapter closed, the Lord has called me to serve in another area, Biblical Counseling and Discipleship, with an aim toward local churches, their membership, and the local community.

The bedrock of the young heart is the home and the instruction they receive; by God’s grace, parents are allowed to raise their children as they see fit in this country. God wants this; however, Christian parents have a distinct responsibility separate from every other home; before we can love the people around us, we must first love God, from whom all blessings flow (1 Cor. 8:6).

The classical Christian model provides parents an advocate to come alongside their family and the local church to help instill a hunger for God in light of the love of God who first loved us (Jn. 4:19). With that said, I am convinced that Centurion Christian Classical School has the Biblical model to truly incorporate faithful education for the young, to the glory of God.

I am married to my lovely wife, Abigael. We enjoy outdoor adventures when time, work, and school allow us. We live in Jacksonville, N.C., and have an Australian Cattle Dog without cattle. Penny keeps us busy and in line.

Dana has diverse experience in both the private and public sector. She served as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile, then returned to that city 20 years later with her husband and children to serve as a missionary.

She currently serves on the board of Alpha Clinics, volunteers as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship, and she works as the Program Administrator for Capitol Resource Institute, a non-profit based in Sacramento.

Dana has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. She is married to Jason, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
