CENTURION christian classical school, founded in 2022, will offer grades tk-6 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
WE SEEK TO SERVE THE BODY OF CHRIST WITH K-12 CHRISTIAN CLASSICAL LIBERAL ARTS INSTITUTIONS FORMED for THE FUTURE OF local CHURCHes and SUSTAINED ONLY BY THE GENEROSITY OF GOD’S PEOPLE.
WE DO THIS BECAUSE CHRIST IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE
FIVE CRUCIAL QUESTIONS
-
At Centurion, we are devoted to Christ in all that we do. Our school motto is Christus est via, veritas et vita, which means, “Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life.”
We are also a reformed Christian school, so we ask all families to believe and affirm The Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed, and to approve the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (The 1689) as the theological foundation for our school. Links have been provided for you to read and review these beautiful doctrines at your leisure.
Centurion uses the catechistic method (catechism) to train students to memorize biblical questions and answers. Our students will endeavor to memorize whole chapters of scripture and they are trained to think theologically about all subjects. Your children will be immersed in the Christian life which is full of truth, joy, friendship, prayer, repentance, and discipline. All that we do, we do to glorify our Lord and Savior. By His grace, we pray that our efforts will effectively translate to your children and to you as their divinely appointed first educators. If you share these values and if you desire that your family and future generations be founded on the solid rock, which is Christ and His word, then Centurion is the school for you.
-
At Centurion, we believe that loving children well begins with giving them boundaries and reasonable expectations that correspond to their age and stage of development. Your children are made in the image of God and they are imbued with unique personalities, which we want to see flourish within the guidelines of godly virtue and wisdom.
Every person is born with a sinful nature, so it is expected that all children will disobey on occasion. Therefore, we believe that children especially need nurturing and effective discipline to remain on the narrow path. Centurion desires to partner with you in the discipline of your children, and as a way to honor God’s design, Fathers are expected (if possible, in your family structure) to lead in this category. If you are a single mother, we will work to support you in every way necessary as you seek to incorporate godly discipline within your family.
We do not expect children to be perfect. We do expect, however, to foster a collaborative relationship between parents and educators to love your children biblically. If this approach is something you will value and uphold, then Centurion will be a wonderful fit for you.
-
At Centurion, we desire to instill a love of learning which comes with a devotion to rigorous study. We want to uphold the highest academic standards and this means that parents are critical to ensuring their student’s success.
Once your child reaches the 5th grade and he/she begins more robust studies in Latin, history, math, and science, some parents find they cannot help as much academically, but the structure you put in place in your home to effectively foster good study habits will be a critical element in the success of your son or daughter.
You will need to sacrifice entertainment and leisure activities to ensure the work is done. To be clear, children must have playtime as part of their daily routine, so we do restrict homework so as to not excessively burden students.
Children in supportive home environments thrive within the classical method because every member of the household loves to learn, discuss, and grow from all that the child is experiencing academically and spiritually. If you will support a commitment to academic excellence, then Centurion is the school for your family.
-
Classical education is an integrated curriculum that trains children to think, awe, and express themselves in ways that typical mainstream education does not do. If you have experience with Classical education, then this question is easy for you to answer, but for those parents who attended standard public education, this question is critical. This education is very different than public education, but it is designed to do something completely different. We are devoted to making children ready to excel in the world of vocation and skill, but more importantly, we are devoted to preparing these students to glorify and meet their maker. If you understand Classical Christian education, then this is the school for you. If you need more time to research, we recommend you go to the ClassicalDifference.com to learn more.
-
The most critical element to bring about success for any child is a robust learning environment in the home. Parents who demonstrate a love for subjects such as reading, language, art, music, math, science, and history, understand the joys that come with exploring these topics even though they are not experts in any of them. If you, as parents, have a love for learning, then you are a good fit for Centurion.
Admission Requirements
-
A student must be the following ages between Sept 2nd and June 2nd of the year applying for:
- Five years of age for Transitional Kindergarten
- Six years of age for kindergarten
- Seven years of age for first-gradeIf a child has completed the previous school year and his/her schoolwork and behavior compare favorably to Centurion standards, he/she will be placed in the grade for which the family is applying. However, if there is evidence that the child is not adequately prepared for the next sequential grade level, he/she may be required to repeat the previous grade.
The student should understand that his/her parents have delegated their authority to the school and the classroom teacher during the school day. Therefore, the child is subject to the instruction and discipline of the teacher and the Head of School.

Parents are the primary teachers in the lives of our students (Deut 6/Eph 6) and we serve at your pleasure. Alignment between your family and our faculty/staff is paramount for success.
Therefore, parents should have a clear understanding of the biblical philosophy and purpose of Centurion Christian Classical School, which includes our creeds and confessions. This understanding includes a willingness to have their child exposed to the clear teaching of the school’s Statement of Faith (The 1689) in various and frequent ways within the Centurion academic program.Parents should have a clear understanding of our unique classical educational approach. Parents should carefully read the informational materials about Centurion.
We also strongly encourage each parent to read “The Case for Classical Christian Education” by Douglas Wilson or his related book, “Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning”, one of the best texts for explaining the kind of program we offer at Centurion. Additionally, “The Liberal Arts Tradition” by Kevin Clark, DLS, and Ravi Scott Jain will help you to understand the rich history and robust beauty behind this manner of education.
Parents are required to cooperate with all the written policies of Centurion Christian Classical School. This is especially important in the area of behavioral discipline and schoolwork standards, as well as active communication with the respective teachers and administration.
Each Centurion family can provide, in various measures, blessings of time, talent, and/or treasure. We ask that you consider blessing Centurion with the gifts that God has given you individually and as a family, so that we can be the body of Christ, working together as one with joyful hearts!
