As a career police officer and Chief of Police for Fairfield, Vallejo, and Vacaville, Joe Allio brings a depth of wisdom in public safety and politics that is vital to the growth of Centurion. He is also an Elder at Faith Community Church.

His incredible wife, Kathy, raised their six children as a disciplined home-school mother. By God’s providence, she and Joe endured the loss of their two beautiful daughters to Batten Disease. They continue to attribute all their strength and joy amid unthinkable pain to the everlasting love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Kevin brings to Centurion his extensive career as an education leader in the public school system. He also works with the classical Christian education charity, The Rafiki Foundation, which operates classical Christian schools in Africa. As a result, we also use the Rafiki devotion and bible reading plan. We are so grateful to Mr. French and his passion for classical Christian Education.

Katharine Matlock has a background in education as a public school teacher and as the director of Iron Homeschool Academy. She serves alongside her husband, Jared, in various ministries at Faith Community Church, which they have attended for 15 years. They have two sons, one in high school and one in middle school, who have been homeschooled for the past ten years. Katharine has a heart for education and raising up students in the love and knowledge of our great God and His Word. She is using her experience and passion to serve Centurion in the areas of marketing and fundraising.

B.A., Biblical Counseling, The Master’s University, Expected graduation date: December 2025. With this in view, I long to serve Christ and His bride through the local church. I became an Advisory Board Member at Centurion Christian Classical School in June 2022.

My passion is and always will be people in my sphere of influence. God has created all things (Jn. 1:3) and humanity in His image, known as the “Imago Dei” (Gen. 1:26-27). With this reality apprehended, a new purpose has graciously come into my life to proclaim the Christ, who is the Truth (Lk. 4:18, Jn. 14:6).

For the past 20 years, I have served, mentored, led, and trained Marines, always with the human heart at the crux. Professionalism along with a particularly strong work ethic has always been my joy as a United States Marine serving this great country that provided opportunities for all to excel. With this chapter closed, the Lord has called me to serve in another area, Biblical Counseling and Discipleship, with an aim toward local churches, their membership, and the local community.

The bedrock of the young heart is the home and the instruction they receive; by God’s grace, parents are allowed to raise their children as they see fit in this country. God wants this; however, Christian parents have a distinct responsibility separate from every other home; before we can love the people around us, we must first love God, from whom all blessings flow (1 Cor. 8:6).

The classical Christian model provides parents an advocate to come alongside their family and the local church to help instill a hunger for God in light of the love of God who first loved us (Jn. 4:19). With that said, I am convinced that Centurion Christian Classical School has the Biblical model to truly incorporate faithful education for the young, to the glory of God.

I am married to my lovely wife, Abigael. We enjoy outdoor adventures when time, work, and school allow us. We live in Jacksonville, N.C., and have an Australian Cattle Dog without cattle. Penny keeps us busy and in line.

Dana has diverse experience in both the private and public sector. She served as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile, then returned to that city 20 years later with her husband and children to serve as a missionary.

She currently serves on the board of Alpha Clinics, volunteers as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship, and she works as the Program Administrator for Capitol Resource Institute, a non-profit based in Sacramento.

Dana has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. She is married to Jason, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
