#2 READING
As a classical Christan educator, reading will be a means of learning and a means of teaching, and a means for restoring the soul. WE WILL BEGIN WITH THE 7 LAWS OF TEACHING. THIS IS A GIFT TO YOU FROM US, but we also will be reading a new book called, HOW TO READ A BOOK by Andrew David Naselli. This work is designed to encourage our whole team to become systematic lovers of reading. We will give both of these to you at teacher training.

#3 CONTINUING EDUCATION
To rejoice in learning is what makes up the life of the philomath. There are numerous resources from the Association of Classical and Christian Schools that we can make available to you as you grow as a classical Christian teacher. There are even degrees and certification programs as well, but PLEASE BEGIN WITH MATT WHITLING’S LECTURE CALLED CLICK HERE TO LISTEN >>>THE SINS OF THE CLASSROOM <<<. This will orient your heart toward how we biblically give our young discipuli the blessing of obedience.

#4 Move-in Day - Aug 1st // TRAINING DAY - AUG 9-10
On Thursday, August 1st, we will have a move-in day for all teachers and a chance for teachers to begin looking at their curriculum and spaces. On Friday & Saturday, August 9th-10th 9am-5pm, we are blessed to welcome Dr. Andrew Selby from Trinity Classical Academy to kickstart our training. Day 1 will be all about igniting our hearts for the classical method and how we deploy that at Centurion, which will involve classroom discipline, pedagogy and management. Day 2 is all about lesson planning, scope, and sequence. PLEASE submit your RSVP which is at the button below. Please ask before you purchase supplies, so we can plan that with you.
